Brewster's Studio Around The Corner Features Art About Animals

BREWSTER, N.Y. -- The Studio Around the Corner in Brewster kicked off its third annual “Animal Magnetism” exhibition with a reception Friday from 7-9 p.m.

The exhibit, a celebration of the animal companions who share their humans’ lives, features paintings, photographs and drawings by members of the community.

Gallery hours will be allocated from 1-2 p.m. on three consecutive Saturdays: Oct. 8, 15 and 22.

Closing hours will be from noon-2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30.

The exhibit is sponsored by the town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition.

In appreciation of the work done by Forgotten Felines and the Putnam Humane Society, the studio will collect canned cat and canned dog food throughout the exhibit.

Animal companions are not permitted in the studio, however.
